XConnect provides a trusted global registry of network and subscriber information, based on privacy compliant phone number data including number portability, to optimise global communication services.

XConnect delivers carrier-grade services to operators globally, including MNOs, business messaging (A2P) hubs, aggregators, carriers and interconnect providers.

These services are used for voice and messaging routing, fraud protection and to identify and validate insights. They also support the deployment and evolution of next-generation communications, such as VoLTE and RCS. XConnect’s Number Information Services are accessed through its global distributed hybrid cloud platform using simple, secure, scalable real-time protocols and APIs.

Our History

2005

A Global Vision

XConnect was founded in 2005 by Eli Katz, after he envisioned how IP communications could challenge the industry status quo. He worked with industry leaders worldwide to design, develop and implement the XConnect vision, launching its flagship solution, Federation Service, and securing £13.5m in private equity funding.
2010

Building on Success

With doubling annual revenues, XConnect continued its rapid global expansion. Partnerships were formed around the world with countries that included Germany, South Africa and Malaysia. During this time XConnect drove forward innovative HD voice and video solutions, as well as launching the first IP exchange platform to offer seamless integration with GSMA PathFinder, enabling interoperability and convergence between fixed and mobile networks.
2015

Launch of Number Information Services

XConnect launches Number Information Services (NIS), based on ten years of acquiring and normalising central database information, to enable portability corrected routing for the Voice and Messaging ecosystem.
2017

Global Coverage

NIS expands to provide global coverage of number portability and services offer multi-protocol support including SIP, ENUM and HTTPS for SMS, Voice and Application sectors.
2018

New Privacy Compliant Services

XConnect launches Global Number Range services and GDPR compliant access to Subscriber information, for Validation, Fraud & Identity Protection services to the Application and Fintech sectors.
2020

Expansion of Number Information Services

XConnect continued to expand its Number Information Services with its INDEX registry, containing the industry’s largest number of onboard national central porting databases. XConnect serves billions of queries to the largest Tier 1 Global MNOs and Carriers, for both messaging and voice routing.
